Marin Theatre Presents Outrageous Workplace Satire“Do You Feel Anger?

Marin Theatre closes its 2024/25 season with the Bay Area Premiere of the hilarious workplace comedy Do You Feel Anger? by Mara Nelson-Greenberg This uproarious and potent play follows an empathy coach hired to work with a debt collection agency. Her assignment proves to be daunting as the employees can barely identify what an emotion is, much less practice compassion for others. Praised as “Flat-out hilarious, ingenious and inspired,” Do You Feel Anger? highlights the insanity of a world where some people's feelings are prioritized over others. Award-winning theatre and film director Becca Wolff helms the Marin Theatre production. Do You Feel Anger? currently performing through June 29, 2025 at Marin Theatre (397 Miller Avenue) in Mill Valley, CA.

Do You Feel Anger? Amplifies the Hell that is the corporate office, where bro-culture makes empathy the alien and women are swimming upstream through the absurdity and danger of the men around them. Measured in laughs-per-minute, this hilarious workplace comedy will have you rooting for the underdog and rolling in the aisles.

Sam Jackson returns as Sofia, a newly hired empathy coach. Linda Maria Girón takes on the role of Eva, a seemingly detached and disconnected employee. Joseph Patrick O’Malley plays Jon, the company’s quirky and unpredictable office manager. Atosa Babaoff returns as Janiean almost absentee employee, as well as the voice of Sofia’s Mother.

Making their Marin Theatre debuts are Max Forman-Mullin as Howie, a man prone to outbursts and who is unable to control his anger in the workplace; Phil Wong, as Jordan, an employee who is volatile, and Jesse Caldwell, as the Old Man, a mysterious and long-winded elder.

The design team bringing Do You Feel Anger? to life includes Randy Wong-Westbrooke (Set Designer), Fatima Yahyaa (Costume Designer), Ray Oppenheimer (Lighting Designer), Matt Stines (Sound Designer), and Bessie Zolno (Intimacy/Fight Coordinator). Kevin Johnson is the stage manager.
